Philosophy of Therapy

I work primarily with individuals who feel bound in aversion toward themselves. Whether concerns manifest as self-hatred, shame, relational difficulties, terminal regret, questions around spirituality, depression, anxiety, or take on another face entirely, I wholeheartedly trust there is more to the story than meets the eye. I support our exploration by opening a receptive and creative space for truths that might not feel at home elsewhere. As we shift painful thought patterns out of isolation and into dialogue between two minds, new and surprising truths emerge. These can form a powerful basis for new peace within and new possibilities outwardly.

What therapy looks like

I view therapy as a dynamic conversation that can open up new ways of thinking and freedom around the difficulties that bind up energy within our lives. Since no two people are alike, each treatment I offer is specifically crafted for each client, beginning with a heavy investment in building a unique relationship, reflective of each as a unique individual.

The pain and difficulties that bring us to therapy are often formed over a long duration of time and can be complex in nature. The work of engaging these is often similarly proportioned. For this reason, I offer psychotherapy on a weekly basis and encourage you to think of the endeavor as a long-term and profoundly worthwhile investment.
